The water feature and commemorative plaque was installed in the Mitchell Courtyard was unveiled on 2 June 2011, marking National Reconciliation Week and acknowledging that the college is sited on Kaurna land.
Muriel van der Byl, an artist and woman of Kaurna descent, unveiled the plaque on the water wall. She likened the flowing waterfall to the River Torrens where her great grandmother was born many years ago.
In 2022, the water feature was removed to make way for the new playground.
