The Mosaic Project in the Judith Redden Centre Undercroft was designed and created in 2009 by St Aloysius College old scholar Lauren-Jade Ryan, with the assistance of SAC students in Years 5 and 6. It celebrates 130 years of Mercy Education at SAC, 1880 to 2010 and was unveiled by Kate Ellis, Federal Minister for Adelaide.
The mosaic depicts the four principals of St Aloysius College (left-right) who have buildings named after them:
- Sr Teresa Dunlevie (Principal 1918 to 1944)
- Sr Carmel Bourke (Principal 1945 to 1953)
- Sr Deirdre Jordan (Principal 1954 to 1968)
- Sr Judith Redden (Principal 1983 to 2013)
The colours represent the SAC House teams and colours: white for St Clare’s, green for St Theresa’s, yellow for St Margaret’s and purple for St Anne’s.
