Katherine Sortini
Katherine Sortini attended St Aloysius College from 2006-2014 and was involved in Drama performances during her time at school.
She studied at Flinders Drama Centre gaining an Honours Degree in Creative Arts (Drama). Katherine is now working as a professional actor. In 2020 she played the role of Nancy in the State Theatre Company of South Australia’s production, Gaslight. She has also performed in the South Australian Playwrights Theatre’s production of Bordertown during the 2020 Fringe as well as her own 2021 Fringe show, Baby, what blessings. In 2020 Katherine started her own independent theatre company, Deux Ex Femina.
Katherine has returned to SAC with an acting workshop for the senior Drama students exploring the intricacies of acting and modern acting techniques, as well as performing Baby, what blessings at SAC for senior students. She was the winner of the South Australia Poetry Slam in 2023 and performed at Adelaide Writer’s Week in 2024.
