Dr Ainslie Murray

Ainslie Murray attended St Aloysius College from 1988-1992 and was an active member of sporting teams throughout her school years.

After graduating from SAC, Ainslie trained in Architecture at the University of Adelaide (1993  -1998) and worked as an architect in London. On returning to Sydney, she worked as an architect, exhibition designer and design studio tutor. In 2004, she commenced work as a tenured academic at the University of NSW, teaching in Architecture. Ainslie completed a PhD (Visual Arts) at the University of Sydney in 2011. From 2008 – 2013, she lived in Munich, Germany.

Returning to Australia in 2013 and to UNSW, she is currently a lecturer in the Faculty of the Built Environment. Her research focus is practice-led art and architecture. Her work has been exhibited throughout Australia and internationally in Canada, China, Denmark, Japan and the UK.
